Helloo everybody was up was up hahaha...we'll back...Today is Thursday (1 March 2007) and this is the day that our group must present our SRS project...Before presentation start we must take a pieces of paper that contain of number to decide which group start first...And we are so lucky because we get number 4 hehehe...During presentation, our presenter A.K.A Niva looked 100% confident and he present very well even through his hand was broken...After all Pn Badariah give her comment to our group that we must repair again our SRS project and we'll do it...

I happened to drop by a website and it stated some serious matter about Dell laptops. this words are directly taken from Dell websites.

Dell has identified a potential issue associated with certain batteries sold with Dell Latitude™, Inspiron™, XPS™ and Dell Precision Mobile Workstation™ notebook computers. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and other regulatory agencies, Dell is voluntarily recalling certain Dell-branded batteries with cells manufactured by Sony and offering free replacements for these batteries. Under rare conditions, it is possible for these batteries to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire.

Potentially affected batteries were sold with the following models of Dell notebook computers or separately as secondary batteries:

Latitude: D410, D500, D505, D510, D520, D600, D610, D620, D800, D810
Inspiron: 500M, 510M, 600M, 700M, 710M, 6000, 6400, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300, 9400, E1505, E1705
Precision: M20, M60, M70, M90
XPS: XPS, XPS Gen2, XPS M170, XPS M1710

In addition, these batteries MAY have also been provided in response to service calls. The batteries were shipped to customers between April 1, 2004 and July 18, 2006. Sony held its annual E3 press conference today and revealed the final details of the PlayStation 3 release. Here's what you need to know: the system will hit North America and Europe on November 17, while the Japanese get it on November 11.

Here's the part that will make you cringe: when it hits, the system will be available in two packages, and neither of them come cheap. For $499, you'll be able to snag a PS3 that has a 20-gigabyte hard drive. For $599, you'll get one that has a 60-gigabyte hard drive, along with a few other features: an HDMI high-definition video port and a Memory Stick/SD/Compact Flash slot for portable data saving. It also has Wi-Fi capabilities, while the cheaper model connects to the internet using an old-fashioned Ethernet cable. And yes - these "additions" are available only on the more expensive package. In an important early look at the pivotal holiday sales season, Sony Corp. said it met its goal of shipping 1 million PlayStation 3 consoles to North America in 2006 despite ongoing production problems with the still hard-to-find video game system.

The figure is about half of Sony's stated goal of 2 million PS3s globally by the end of 2006. The company did not disclose a global tally in the announcement, made at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Sony has dominated previous rounds of the console wars with the PlayStation 1 and 2, but it is still undecided who will grab the lead this time around _ the PS3, or its two chief rivals: Nintendo Co.'s Wii and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft Corp.

The PS3's launch had been delayed in the United States from the spring to November, yet supply problems were still evident when it went for sale on Nov. 17.

The company ended up selling 197,000 PS3s on launch day, less than half of the 400,000 it had initially forecast. The market research company NPD Group estimated that U.S. consumers bought 476,000 Wiis in the two weeks following its Nov. 19 launch.

Sony officials have attributed the limited supply to manufacturing glitches with blue laser diodes, the technological heart of the system's high-capacity, high-definition Blu-ray disk drive.

New Tech to Beat HD-DVD & Blu Ray?

Hello there, lets discuss about the talks that the spread in the Internet. It says that there is a new technology called Rainbow Versatile Disc a.k.a RVD was developed by a student from Kerala, India. It says that this tech can beat or should i say a better technology and cheap compared to Blu Ray and HD-DVD. Actually, HD-DVD developed by Toshiba Corp. has capacity of 45GB and meanwhile Blu Ray which developed by Sony has capacity of 50GB. Now, lets roll back to our main point, as I stated before this technology developed by a student in Kerala, India and his name is Sainul the Indian Wiz Kid. This technology did not use optical disc (regular one) but using PAPER (back to ol'skool huh). The advantage of the technology other than the high capacity that one RVD provides between 90 to 450GB (or more depending on size of the paper)–the discs are manufactured from paper, which makes them more environmentally friendly, and also a whole lot lot cheaper. Besides that, a UK based company had meet this Sainul about manufacturing Rainbow Cards which will be about the size of a SIM card and hold up to 5GB of data. And interesting part of this, that UK based company said to be have a close ties with Microsoft company. Cool right? However, rumors spreads in Internet as well saying its a hoax. Its cannot be proven till we got some white papers about it, ain't folks :)

Well well, after more than 5 years of waiting finally Microsoft Vista is released. That is pretty impressive considering that a number of analyst actually expected more delays to the release especially with the possible legal challenges from Microsoft's security software rivals. Two of biggest security software vendors - Symantec and McAfee - are arguing that the security changes to Vista are impeding their products. Because of :

Vista's ability to protect its most fundamental code from cyber attacks
Vista block security software from accessing the core
Microsoft closed loophole to security software from access to the Windows kernel which controls the operating system's most basic functions (the vendors use that to access to detect and block rootkits, keystroke-logging software and worms)

Vista version 64-bit PCs will include technology called PatchGuard prevent kernel modification and also prevents third party security companies from getting inside the OS (Operating System)
Let see what will happen in the end. So, want stick to Windows XP or want change it to Windows Vista? ;p

How To Change or Rename Recycle Bin

Hey guys I found this tips in one of my favourite website. Its kinda interesting actually. Just check it out.

To change the name of recycle bin or rename recycle bin in Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Me, Windows 98 or Windows 95, just edit a registry value:

Open registry editor by going to Start -> Run, and execute regedit.
Navigate to the following registry branch:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\

On the right pane, locate the registry key of LocalizedString.

Double click on LocalizedString or right click on LocalizedString and select Modify to modify the registry value.

You should see the default value of “@%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll,-8964″. Delete or remove the default value and key in your desired new recycle bin’s name in text, e.g. “Garbage Bin” (without quote).

Refresh your desktop or Windows Explorer by pressing F5. You will see the new ‘recycle bin’ name.

Optionally, you can also modify the text of InfoTip, commonly known as tooltip what display certain help tip, guide or description about Recycle Bin when the mouse is hovering on Recycle Bin icon on desktop. The default text is “Contains files and folders that you have deleted.” Simply double click on InfoTip, or right click on InfoTip and select Modify to change the text of the info tip.

The default value is “@%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll,-22915″, simply change it to another description that you want the tooltip to be.
Refresh the desktop to make it effective.
